I love approaching stories in creative ways, including through writing, photojournalism, podcasting and video. Prior to pivoting to journalism, I worked as a corporate lawyer in Washington, D.C. Today, I apply my tested research and investigative skills and understanding of the nuances of law and policy to creating engaging journalism. I am based in Chicago but report worldwide.
